A
native of Madrid, Spain, Antonio Serrada is an active violin
performer. He has two Bachelor’s degrees in Violin and Chamber
Music from the Madrid Royal Conservatory, and additionally has a
Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the Complutense University of
Madrid. As a result of winning several scholarships from the
government of Spain, he was also able to study violin at the
University of Wisconsin-Madison with Vartan Manoogian.
Under a Fulbright Scholarship, he
received a Master’s in Music Performance from Brooklyn College,
studying with Masao Kawasaki.
Mr.
Serrada has broad experience as a concertmaster, contemporary and
chamber musician. He has appeared as a Soloist with the Chamartín
Symphony Orchestra in Spain, and the One World Symphony and
Brooklyn Philharmonic in the US. He has served recently on the violin
faculty of the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, and
has worked for the
Conservatory of Music at Brooklyn College
as Concertmaster and Manager of the Orchestra.
He is currently living in Madrid, where he works
collaborating with several orchestras: Spanish Radio and
Television Orchestra (RTVE),
Madrid Chamber Orchestra and Filarmonia Orchestra.
